Cancel the cut to Universal Credit
The Tories have announced they are going to scrap the £20 uplift to Universal Credit.
At a time when 1 million Scots are living in poverty, including over a quarter of a million children, this decision is a heartless move by a government that just doesn't care.
As restrictions ease, it is essential that we support people—whether that's going back to work, or seeking new employment.
If the Tories have cash to spend on a luxury yacht and awarding Covid contracts to their mates, they have money to support those who need help.
If the Tories won't do it across the UK then here in Scotland, the SNP must plug the gap—we have the powers to cancel this cut, and we should.
We cannot sit by whilst families struggle. Join us in calling for this cut to be cancelled.
