Tell the Tories and Independents running Durham County Council: Dawdon says no to car parking charges

The currently free Terrace Green, Seaham Marina, Dock Top, Noses Point and more car parks across the east Durham coast are set to have charges introduced by Tory led Durham County Council.

The proposals will:

Devastate local businesses by reducing footfall
Push visitors away from our beauty and heritage spots
Deter people from visiting our world-famous memorial statue "Tommy"
Inconvenience residents by packing streets with cars
Stretch purse strings even further amidst the cost of living crisis for regular users of these facilities

Tory led Durham County Council and their Independent coalition partners must scrap these plans and keep Dawdon’s car parks free.
