This is shocking.

This week, the Tories ditched their manifesto pledge to "crack down on the illegal smuggling of dogs and puppies". By blocking the Kept Animals Bill, new laws they’d promised, they are giving a green light to live animal exports and puppy smuggling.

Only Labour can be trusted to deliver on animal welfare. The last Labour government delivered the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the Hunting Act 2004, securing an end to cosmetic testing on animals and banning fur farming.

Puppy farming must end. We must put pressure on the Tories to change course immediately.
